A dangerous-building proceeding can lead to an order to demolish a building, make it safe, or maintain it. If the owner does not comply, the municipality can pursue the work and repayment; unpaid costs can become a property lien after the required notice and recording steps. An as-is agreement does not erase those obligations. See Michigan’s dangerous-building law, MCL 125.540–125.541.
Cheboygan County Building Safety lists construction permits and inspections for permitted work; the City’s Zoning & Planning office handles zoning and land-use questions. Those local requirements depend on the notice and work involved.
When you sell to us, we're the buyer, so the repairs become our job.
That does not erase an existing order, court case, deadline, or seller obligation before closing.
